A Clean Sweep for Brownsville

Kudos to Edward Camarillo for taking the high road in both his general and run-off campaigns. In spite of petty personal attacks and threats of lawsuits (sound familiar?), he held firm and finished strong.

A big maroon horse-laugh (hssssssss) to Ernesto De Leon for sounding ever the sore loser with this bite:
"Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose,"” De Leon, 69, said. "Unfortunately, Brownsville lost."
How arrogant. Does De Leon consider his former constituents in District 4 who gave Camarillo a plurality, and then a majority, to be dupes? In lieu of grace in defeat, he only exhibited bitter condescension, just like other recent also-rans. Whatever happened to: "My opponent ran a good race."... or simply "Congratulations?".

As a fellow Aggie, I'm frankly embarrassed. So much for the "soldier, statesman, knightly gentleman" role model.
